Here's something to check if you have a TC33D. I noticed about a month ago that the hood was cracked after about 120 hours on the tractor. I figured out that the headlight wiring harness was pinched between the hood and the bracket that supports the air cleaner housing and power steering fluid reservoir. It put enough pressure on the fiberglass to crack it over time. My dealer replaced the hood under warranty and I rerouted the offending wiring. Unfortunately, this just allowed the hood to contact the cap on the power steering reservoir. I caught that before any damage was done. To fix, I slotted the holes that are used to mount the reservoir to the bracket by about a quarter inch, which allowed me to lower the reservoir. I also cut a quarter inch off the top of the bracket to ensure clearance between the bracket and the hood. I checked a newer model at the dealer to see if it had the same problem. Everything under the hood looked the same, but the bracket and reservoir cleared the hood on it ok. I've heard a rumor that New Holland redesigned the bracket on the newer models, but I haven't been able to confirm it yet. -JeffB

You are correct, the bracket is in error. Please be aware when dropping the reservoir that the return line from the steering motor could be pinched. The angle of entry into the reservoir/filter mounting plate may be too severe once the mounting plate has been lowered. The suction line to the pump can also exhibit the tendency to pinch as well.

Should the return line and suction lines be shortened to alleviate the possibility of pinching? - Jeff B ....

The return line (the 5/16" line) length is independent of the kink situation. The steel tubing is bent towards the filter head and the angle at which the steel line travels is what determines the radius of curvature of the rubber hose material. If the hose does not appear to be kinked, do not worry about it. The suction line (5/8") can be shortened if necessary. I don't beleive that the amount you lowered the filter head should make much difference. I would just take a look to ensure that a kink is not present. If a kink is present, I can recommend several options to remedy the situation. ....

I just took a look at that set up on my TC33D
There is clearance there but not a whole lot.
The head light wires are not anywhere near the air cleaner bracket so I guess this must have been dealt with. The hood latches very easily and is not contacting anything underneath.
